Mooresville, NC community in mourning

K9 officer, Jordan Harris Sheldon, 32, a six-year veteran of the Mooresville Police Department, was shot and killed late Saturday night after a traffic stop on West Plaza Drive.

Mooresville Mayor Miles Atkins said he could think of only one word to describe his feelings. “Devastated,” he said. “That’s the only word I can think of to describe how some of us are feeling in the community.”
